Peru's national soccer team warmed up on Tuesday to get ready for the coming qualifying matches against Venezuela and Uruguay towards the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia.
Peruvian star strikers Paolo Guerrero and Claudio Pizarro have recently arrived in Lima to join the national squad.
"Scoring goals is very special for a striker. So, I hope to keep scoring for the team," the 37-year-old 'Andean Bomber' expressed.
The recently recovered Jefferson Farfan —who plays as forward for Al Jazira Club in the UAE— expects to get on the field for the Thursday match against Venezuela.
"I feel much better. I am in conditions to play, but the coach will decide whether I will play from the beginning or not," Farfan indicated.
Ricardo Gareca’s side had their last training session on Tuesday, which was open to media.
The Inca team will face Venezuela on March 24th in Lima, and play against Uruguay on March 29th in Montevideo.
It must be noted Peru is lagging behind the assigned group after being defeated by Colombia, Chile, Paraguay and Brazil.
