In this sense, the official —who is in charge of leading dialogue processes at the influence areas of Las Bambas mining project— reiterated  the Executive Branch is in permanent contact with provincial and local authorities, as well as the leaders of the communities of Cotabambas (Apurimac region) and Chumbivilcas (Cusco region).

As the head of the multi-sectoral commission, the minister congratulated local representatives for prioritizing projects aimed at closing gaps within the framework of the Concerted Development Plan.

Likewise, she underlined that the Justice and Human Rights Ministry honored its commitment to implementing a Decentralized Human Rights and Public Defense Office in Challhuahuacho district, where Quechua-speaking attorneys currently provide free legal advice.

Furthermore, Bustamante noted that the paving and the payment for the mining corridor rights are progressing in coordination with the Transport and Communications Ministry.

In addition, the official informed the possibility of paying canon —in advance— in Challhuahuacho was mentioned last Monday.
