11:35 | Lima, Sep. 14.

The Peruvian Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) has approved the regulations of the Law that promotes regional and local public investment with the participation of the private sector (Law No. 29230), and Legislative Decree No. 1534, which provides measures to promote investment under the Works for Taxes mechanism.

Said regulation was approved via Supreme Decree No. 210-2022-EF, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on Wednesday. It consists of five titles, 129 articles, 13 final complementary provisions, and three transitory complementary provisions.

The rule indicates that this supreme decree comes into force as of September 15, 2022, in all those aspects that do not contravene the investment agreements or the contracts signed under the Works for Taxes mechanism.

Besides, the legal instrument indicates that the entry into force of the supreme decree does not imply rolling back the processes or procedures underway, which will be adapted to the regulations in the phase in which they are found.

The publication of this supreme decree and its annex in the Single Digital Platform for Citizen Orientation of the Peruvian State and in the digital headquarters of the MEF is arranged.

Finally, the rule establishes the repeal of Supreme Decree No. 036-2017-EF, which approves the regulations of the Law that promotes regional and local public investment with the participation of the private sector (Law No. 29230) and of Article 17 of the Law that establishes measures to promote economic growth (Law No. 30264); and its amendments.
