Peru: Luis Iberico appointed as Permanent Representative to UN Tourism

The Executive Branch has appointed Peruvian Ambassador to Spain and former Congressman, Luis Iberico Nuñez, as Permanent Representative to the World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism).

His appointment is officially recorded in Supreme Resolution No. 157-2024-RE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on Friday.

In this regard, the corresponding credentials and full powers will be issued to him.

The Supreme Resolution is endorsed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In July 2024, Iberico was appointed as new Peruvian Ambassador to Spain, replacing Walter Gutierrez, who resigned from the post last May.

Previously, in 2016, Iberico was appointed Ambassador of Peru to Italy.
