The Peruvian women's volleyball team fell 3-0 to Japan in its debut at the 2012 Women's World Olympic Qualification Tournament, which is held in Tokyo on Saturday.
The team led by Italian Coach Luca Cristofani was defeated by Japan 25-13, 25-21, 25-18.
The team played better in the second set, thanks to the performance of Carla Rueda and Patricia Soto, but the set was won by Japan 25-21.
Peru took the first two points of the third set, but in the final spike Japan won 25-18.
The Peruvian team was comprised of Elena Keldibekova, Patty Soto, Mirtha Uribe, Karla Ortiz, Vanessa Palacios (libero), Carla Rueda and Clarivett Yllescas.
