Minister Claudia Cornejo stated that 22 Safe Travels tourist destinations have been recognized in various Peruvian regions to date, which confirms her sector's commitment to supporting the reactivation of tourism, as long as health indicators allow so.

Safe Travels Stamp, the first in the world for safety and hygiene in the face of COVID-19," she expressed.
Mincetur mentioned that —in order to get this recognition— virtual and field work meetings were held, followed by the implementation of surveillance plans and sectoral health protocols for the prevention of COVID-19, audits, and monitoring efforts on tourism service providers along with the competent regional and local bodies.
"This would not be possible without a joint, serious, and committed work. In addition, the commitment of tourism sector agents and the population is very important. Only this way will we be able to give visitors the confidence to visit and discover these beautiful destinations," she said.
