Peruvian Justice Minister Aldo Vasquez will participate in the 157th Period of Sessions of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) taking place in Washington D.C. from April 2nd to 15th.
The government official will present a balance on the country's human rights policy.
Remarks by Vasquez will be made within the framework of a public audience on Peru's National Plan for Reparations to be held at OAS' headquarters this Friday.
Likewise, the head of the Justice portfolio expects to hold meetings with IACHR representatives to discuss the status of requests and cases involving prosecuted individuals, as well as those convicted of terrorism in the South American country.
According to a supreme resolution, Vasquez's trip to U.S. was authorized for April 7th-9th.
During his absence, Interior Minister Jose Luis Perez Guadalupe will take over the Justice portfolio.
The regulation published in El Peruano official newspaper was signed by President Ollanta Humala, Prime Minister Pedro Cateriano and the Justice Minister himself.
