Peru: Interior Min and farmers coordinate joint work to ensure security

Actions to guarantee the safety of economic activities in Peru's southern areas were coordinated by Interior Minister Walter Ortiz and Association of Agricultural Producer Guilds of Peru (AGAP) Chairman Gabriel Amaro.

The Executive Branch representative met with the guild's head and other businesspeople who are part of the AGAP leadership.

The leaders highlighted the articulated efforts they have been undertaking along with the Interior sector in favor of security.

Concrete support

Within this framework, the guests expressed their will to support the Peruvian National Police through concrete actions in their fight against land trafficking, illegal mining, extortion, and robbery.

In that sense, they expressed their willingness to provide this institution with equipment and infrastructure, and through the Works for Taxes mechanism.

Also present at this event were Interior Ministry Advisory Cabinet Chief, Clever Vidal; and Peruvian National Police Order-Security Director, Ivan Lizzetti.
