Peru holds last home training ahead of Copa America debut

Peru's national soccer team held its last training session in Lima ahead of its debut match against Venezuela at the 2019 Copa America in Brazil.

The session took place at the National Sports Village (Videna) under the direction of the head coach, Ricardo Gareca, and technical staff members.

This way, everything was ready to leave for Brazil. They arrived in Porto Alegre this afternoon.


 
As is known, Gareca's men defeated their Costa Rican counterparts 1-0, on June 5, in their penultimate friendly match as preparation for the aforementioned continental tournament.

However, the Incas lost against Colombia (3-0) in their last friendly last Sunday. Both matches took place in the Peruvian capital.

Peru has been drawn in Group A with Brazil, Venezuela, and Bolivia.
