The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo and his delegation have arrived in the Chilean capital of Santiago to participate in the Presidential Meeting and IV Binational Cabinet between Peru and Chile.

In a recent post on Twitter, the Presidency of the Republic stated that this trip is intended to strengthen the ties of friendship, cooperation for development, as well as economic and commercial integration with Chile.

Last Thursday, Congress published Legislative Resolution No. 31629, by which President Pedro Castillo was authorized to leave the national territory from November 28 to 29 to participate in the Presidential Meeting and IV Binational Cabinet between Peru and Chile.

Said resolution, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano, stated that said meeting will take place in the Chilean capital, Santiago.

This document also indicated that his presence in the neighboring country will serve to strengthen historic ties of friendship and cooperation.

Similarly, it will serve to promote the broad bilateral agenda through a space for high-level political dialogue, in which actions are coordinated on issues of common interest for the development and well-being of both countries' populations —particularly those located in the border area.
