"Mining (activities) will generate a positive impact of over US$17 billion in the upcoming years, and the benefits will be registered in the manufacturing, construction, and agricultural sectors, with a
high employment rate of nearly 100,000 direct jobs," he expressed.
Likewise, the top official recalled the
General Mining Law led to boosting the sector, so it could enter and compete in international markets.
"As the Prime Minister (Salvador del Solar) has announced, in the upcoming days, we will publish the supreme resolution to create a high-level commission aimed at improving mining activities' regulations," he added.
