Peru Gov't joins "100 Days to Go to the Parapan American Games" celebrations

Within the framework of the "100 Days to Go to the Parapan American Games" celebrations, President Martin Vizcarra and his Council of Ministers —led by Salvador del Solar— joined the countdown to the largest multi-sport event in the Americas ever hosted by Peru.


During the Council of Ministers session on Wednesday, the Head of State and his cabinet members wore each the Lima 2019 jersey marking a special day, 100 days ahead to the start of the Parapan American Games set to take place August 23 at the Lima-based National Stadium.


"Only 100 days to go until we cheer for our athletes at the Parapan American Games. We received Milco's visit at the Government Palace to share with him the final stretch towards #Lima2019. Let's all play!" tweeted the Presidency of the Republic's official account.


Milco, the official mascot of Lima 2019, visited the presidential palace to greet President Martin Vizcarra and his State ministers sharing his joy of making the Games in the Inca country.

Parapan Am Games 

The Parapan American Games will gather 1,890 Para athletes from 33 countries that will participate in 17 sports and 18 disciplines. 

The event will run from August 23 to September 1. Additionally, 13 sports will be qualifiers for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
