The Executive Branch has authorized the trips —on official mission— of three Ministers of State to the cities of Toronto (Canada) and Berlin (Germany), in order to participate in official activities.

Peruvian Government representatives heading to Canada are Economy-Finance Minister Alex Contreras and Energy-Mines Minister Oscar Vera.

Their trips were authorized according to Supreme Resolutions 044-2023-PCM and 045-2023-PCM, which were published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on Friday.

Thus, the high-ranking officials will attend the Annual Mining Convention held by the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC).

Said entity has been holding annual mining conventions, which are among the most important ones in the world, since they bring together the main mining entrepreneurs, investors, and large-scale suppliers worldwide.

"The aim of the convention lies in presenting a concrete agenda that defines the competitive advantages of investing in mining across our country," it was stated.

It should be noted that the Economy and Finance office will be entrusted to Agrarian Development-Irrigation Minister Nelly Paredes as long as the sector head's absence lasts, while the Energy and Mines office will be entrusted to Production Minister Raul Perez Reyes Espejo.

Trip to Germany

Likewise, according to Supreme Resolution 046-2023-PCM, the trip of Foreign Trade-Tourism Minister Luis Helguero to Berlin (Germany) is authorized from March 5 to 9 this year.

In said European city, the representative of the Executive Branch will take part at the international travel trade show ITB Berlin 2023.

During Helguero's absence, the Foreign Trade and Tourism office will be entrusted to Production Minister Raul Perez Reyes Espejo.
