The Peruvian Government on Saturday made official the obligation for citizens to have received the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine so as to enter public and private establishments, as well as to carry out face-to-face work activities —a provision that must be complied with as of April 1.
Likewise, the extension of the state of national emergency was made official for a period of thirty (30) calendar days, starting on the same date, given the context of possible coronavirus infections, which still persist throughout Peruvian territory.
The rule also indicates that during the state of national emergency, the exercise of constitutional rights related to personal liberties and security, the inviolability of homes, in addition to freedom of assembly and transit across the territory are restricted.
Furthermore, health sector workers must have received three (3) doses of the vaccine to carry out face-to-face work activities at their workplace due to the high contagion risk and spread of COVID-19 variants.
Drivers and collectors of all public transportation services, as well as drivers who provide delivery services, taxi services, and private transportation of personnel and tourists, can only operate if they prove that they have received (in Peru and/or abroad) three doses.
Minors over 12 years of age, who visit beaches, rivers, lakes, lagoons and swimming pools, must present the physical or virtual card that certifies having received two vaccine doses.
Citizens over 18 years of age who visit those places must have received three doses on a mandatory basis.
