In joint work to face climate change,
signed the final act of the Intergovernmental Negotiations on Development Cooperation between the Governments of the Republic of Peru and the Federal Republic of Germany.
The bilateral agreement titled Alliance for Climate "is a step in the process of implementing our measures for adaptation and mitigation of climate change," the government official emphasized.
The Cabinet member stressed that there is a commitment to protect forests, rivers, the Amazonia, and glaciers. It includes the commitment to Andean and Amazonian citizens, peoples, and communities.
"Our special attention is there," he stressed.
Minister Rozas mentioned that despite the difference in problems and solutions, "when we sign this agreement, we have in common the same hopes and possibilities, and that makes us understand each other better."
Concerning sustainable urban development, potable water-sanitation, and transportation focused on compliance with the
Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), Germany showed interest in continuing to support solid waste management in coastal cities so as to reduce marine pollution.
