Yonhy Lescano, Rafael Lopez Aliaga, Julio Guzman, Ciro Galvez, Daniel Salaverry, and Rafael Santos will take part in the third and final round of the presidential debate organized by the
National Electoral Board (JNE) ahead of the general elections scheduled for April 11, 2021.
It must be noted that the first and second rounds were held on Monday and Tuesday, respectively.
This final debate will take place in-person from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and has been divided in five thematic sections: measures against the pandemic, education, security, public integrity and fight against corruption, as well as candidates' final message.
Out of the five sections, two will feature dialogue among candidates (measures against the pandemic and citizen security), two will include questions by citizens (education and public integrity, as well as fight against corruption), and one will be a closing section.
According to a draw, tonight's debate will include the participation of the following
presidential candidates: Yonhy Lescano Ancieta (Accion Popular), Julio Guzman (Partido Morado), Ciro Galvez (Renacimiento Unido Nacional), Daniel Salaverry (Somos Peru), and Rafael Santos (Peru Patria Segura).
The three-day presidential debate are broadcast live —from the Lima Convention Center— by TV Peru, JNETV channel, and on social networks.
The discussion is moderated by Peruvian journalists Monica Delta and Pedro Tenorio.
It should be pointed out that the composition of the groups and candidates' turns to speak was determined by a draw conducted on March 16.
