Peruvian Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Ana Cecilia Gervasi held a work meeting with United States Ambassador Lisa Kenna on Wednesday. At the event, the dignitaries agreed on the need to continue strengthening the bilateral relationship.

Both parties recognized the importance of cooperation received by Peru from the U.S. for the fight against drug trafficking and the willingness to continue working on this effort —particularly in the sphere of alternative and sustainable development.

At the meeting, common agenda issues were addressed, such as Peru's participation in the 77th General Assembly of the United Nations and in multilateral coordination fora on migration matters, including the upcoming General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS) to take place in our country next month.
