Peru: FA Min meets with CAF representative

Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Cesar Landa met with Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) Representative in Peru Manuel Malaret at Torre Tagle Palace in Lima on Friday.

The Peruvian Cabinet member expressed our country's interest in working together to establish a new regional integration scheme on prioritization, as well as coordination of social and sustainable development projects.

During the meeting, the Peruvian official thanked the international organization for its contribution of US$250,000 to address the environmental emergency caused by the oil spill in Ventanilla's sea area, which occurred last January.

Both authorities agreed on the importance of Peru being able to achieve sustainable, inclusive, and equitable development through the promotion of responsible investment and digital transformation towards achieving State modernization.

Likewise, Minister Landa expressed our country's interest in continuing to rely on CAF's support for border integration, as well for making the most of the organization's good experiences in areas essential for development such as: innovation; water and energy; sustainable cities; health and productivity.
