Peru: FA Min coordinates joint response to COVID-19 crisis

Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Gustavo Meza-Cuadra on Friday participated in the virtual ministerial conference called by France, Spain and the EU with the aim of reinforcing political dialogue, cooperation and solidarity between Europe and Latin America, as well as articulating joint responses to face the COVID-19 crisis.

Via Twitter, the Foreign Affairs Ministry also reported that Peru handed over the Presidency of the Summit of the Americas to the United States.

The summit has been strengthened as an ideal space to meet the challenges shared by the countries in the hemisphere.

At the VIII Summit of the Americas held in Lima in April 2018, the Heads of State and Government of the continent adopted the Lima Commitment, which included 57 specific articles to fight corruption and impunity.
