Peru FA meets with EU Exploratory Mission

Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Gustavo Meza-Cuadra welcomed the European Union's (EU) Exploratory Mission, which currently assesses deploying an Election Observation Mission for the parliamentary elections scheduled for January 2020, at the invitation of the National Election Board (JNE).

Last week, the Inca country's government official announced the Government was arranging the participation of the EU with an EOM in the elections.

Likewise, the Organization of American States (OAS) has promised to send an Electoral Observation Mission (EOM) for the electoral process to choose the new members of Peruvian Parliament.

As is known, parliamentary elections will take place on January, 26, 2020, in order to elect new lawmakers who will carry out their duties until July 2021.
