In a statement released on Friday night, the institutions affirmed that all support will be provided to domestic and foreign visitors who are affected in the use of tickets, from January 21 until one month after the conclusion of mobilizations, or they request the refund.
Damage to the railway
The Urubamba-Ollantaytambo-Machu Picchu railway suffered damages in different sections because rail structures were lifted and moved, the Ferrocarril Trasandino S.A. concessionaire reported.
These events occurred on Thursday when the population was complying with a stoppage in the Sacred Valley.
The damage forced the suspension of the train service until further notice.
