Ministro de Educación, Jaime Saavedra, visitó diversos colegios de La Libertad, para supervisar obras de prevención ante Fenómeno El Niño.
Peru's education Ministry (MINEDU) streamlined disabled student registration process with the purpose of specifying particular characteristics and needs to provide a more efficient education service.
This amendment will benefit over 13,000 students, whose disability certificates will be aligned with the Educational Institution Management Support-Information System (SIAGIE), Pedagogical Management Deputy Minister Flavio Figallo noted.
This measure is linked to the sector's inclusive policy, since Special Basic Education Centers (CEBEs) will for the first time rely on a proper system for these purposes.
Likewise, the identification of students per type of disability (mild, moderate, severe or multideficiency) and place of origin (region, province, district, school and room) will contribute to meeting goals.
The mechanism will be essential to benefit students nationwide.
