An alpaca collection designed by seven Peruvian dressmakers will be showcased in Paris, France in mid-2013, chief executive of Sierra Exportadora, Alfonso Velasquez Tuesta said Monday.
Velasquez said that the partnership between Promperu and Cusco Chamber of Commerce has helped women living in Peru's southern region of Cusco with their designs.
He said that the collection includes dresses, skirts and jackets made from alpaca.
The chief executive also noted that a consulting firm in Paris is interested in the designs and plans to take them to Istanbul, Turkey.
The collection will also be shown at Perú Moda fashion show to be held in Lima on April 10-12.
