The Government of Peru has created the National Digital Transformation System (SNTD), which is made up of a set of principles, rules, procedures, techniques, and instruments.
SNTD is also based on the articulation of the different public and private actors in society.
The system seeks to promote and encourage
digital transformation at public entities, private companies, and the society as a whole, as well as strengthen the effective use of digital technologies, networks, and digital services by citizens and people in general.
Likewise, it aims to foster digital innovation, the strengthening of an inclusive digital society, as well as the exercise of digital rights and duties by citizens.
Another important function is to nurture
digital economy, competitiveness, productivity and financial inclusion in a digital society.
Finally, the system is expected to improve the access and inclusion of digital technologies in the country as well as build digital confidence, by promoting security, transparency, personal data protection, and ethical management of technologies in a digital environment to promote sustainability, prosperity, and social-economic welfare in the country.
The secretariat also consists of the National Council for Science and Technological Innovation (Concytec), Digital Government Committees at public entities nationwide, and private sector organizations.
