Peru's Congress Chairman Manuel Merino has convened a plenary session for Monday, August 3, in order to receive Prime Minister Pedro Cateriano and his Cabinet, who will
present the Government's general policy.
The session is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. and will take place via a virtual platform.
Cateriano, joined by the Ministerial Cabinet, shall present the Government's general policy, the main policies of his administration, and request the confidence vote of legislators.
In accordance with Article 130 of the Constitution, the
President of the Council of Ministers must attend Congress —joined by his Cabinet— to present the Government's general policy and the principal measures pursued by the Executive Branch.
After his speech, the Prime Minister shall request the vote of confidence.
