Peru congratulates U.S. on independence anniversary

Peru, via its Foreign Affairs Ministry, on Tuesday congratulated the United States of America on the 247th anniversary of independence, which is celebrated on July 4.

The Peruvian government agency highlighted our country's willingness to continue strengthening the high level of dialogue, coordination, and cooperation on issues of common interest to both nations.

"Peru greets the people and government of the United States of America on their 247 years of independence, and expresses its willingness to continue strengthening the high level of dialogue, coordination, and cooperation between our countries on issues of common interest," it stated via its official Twitter account.


The Peruvian Embassy in Washington D.C. congratulated the U.S. on its 247th independence anniversary as well.

The diplomatic mission also reaffirmed the interest of both countries to continue working on the shared values of freedom and democracy that are celebrated today.
