Peru confirms friendly matches against the Netherlands, Germany

Peruvian soccer team manager Antonio Garcia Pye has confirmed the Inca squad will play two friendly matches against the Netherlands and Germany in September 2018.

According to Garcia Pye, both clashes are already scheduled to take place in Europe following the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia.

In this sense, he informed the national team will clash with its Dutch counterpart on September 6 in Amsterdam before facing Germany on September 9 in Sinsheim.

On the other hand, the manager stated the red-white squad gave a good performance at the World Cup tournament, which will help athletes, as well as everyone involved, grow professionally.

"It was an amazing experience, although we felt we could do a bit more (…) all these experiences in Russia will serve them (sportsmen) for their professional growth," he noted.

Regarding the continuity of Ricardo Gareca as the team coach, Garcia Pye commented the strategist "has asked for time to make a decision, think with a cool head, and analyze things calmly (…)."
