Peru —through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs— strongly condemned the terrorist attack that occurred in Majdal Shams, which resulted in the death of 11 Israeli citizens, most of them minors.

"Peru expresses condolences to the victims' families, as well as to the Government and people of Israel," the ministry stated on the X platform on Saturday evening.

The Government of Peru once again reiterated its condemnation of terrorism in all its forms.

Likewise, Peru reaffirmed support for multilateral initiatives aimed at finding a political solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

It must be based on the peaceful coexistence of two States, within secure and internationally-recognized borders, in accordance with international law and relevant resolutions by the United Nations Council.
