The
Consulate General of Peru and other Latin American consulates in Boston delivered a training on immigrant rights in light of the new immigration raids announced in the United States.
Held on July 11, the initiative was supported by Consulates General of Peru, Mexico, Colombia, the Dominican Republic and El Salvador, where it took place.
The event was organized in cooperation with
De Novo, an organization that provides free civil legal aid and affordable psychological counseling.
The talk addressed issues like immigrant rights, search for lawyers, ICE activities (raids and family detention), and migratory solutions.
Additionally, Peruvian nationals were told where to get help or which institutions could be consulted in order to avoid being victims of fraud.
