The March for Peace was held in Lima and other Peruvian cities, with the participation of civil society groups and the general public.
Carrying posters with messages of peace and white balloons, marchers in Lima left the Campo de Marte park and walked through various streets in the Downtown area, until they reached Plaza San Martin (San Martin Square). At the site, the main activity took place —within the framework of the March for Peace.
Similar mobilizations were held in Cusco, Arequipa, Puno, and Trujillo, among other Peruvian cities.
National Police members were deployed to various zones where the aforementioned march took place, in order to guarantee order.
