Peru Libre presidential candidate Pedro Castillo on Wednesday announced that starting tomorrow the command of his political organization will initiate contacts with organizations and parties in Lima, with a view to the runoff scheduled for June 6.

"We believe that it is important for the command in Lima to handle this; I salute the command, we are not wasting time; there are other organizations and social movements, such as the transportation unions that are agreeing to talk," he expressed.

From Chota Province, the candidate indicated that his party welcomes national private companies, to which they will grant all the confidence to invest in the country and take charge of transnational companies, which do not agree on the review of their contracts.

"We will support national companies to make every effort to create jobs and opportunities. I have seen that there are national companies which have been discriminated against. They will have priority in our government. Micro and small entrepreneurs will have all the administrative, legal, and economic support to boost the economy," he expressed.

Likewise, Castillo said that he will guarantee Peruvians quality vaccines, which are free, optional, and massive in order to resume the activities in the country.

He specified that the accusations made against him will not divert him from his willingness to move the country forward.

"Here, if the media were right, I would have already been thrown out of Chota, I would have been thrown out of my town. In the face of more aggression, I am going to respond to them with the people, with proposals that embody the great need, the great urgency of the Peruvian people," Castillo told Radio Exitosa.

Asked on whether he will only speak with left-wing organizations, Castillo said that —in the face of the country's problems— Peruvians do not think about left or right, but rather "how they fill their stomachs, how they save the population from the state of emergency, and how the State reaches out to save them from intubations."

After greeting presidential candidate Veronika Mendoza and other political parties, Castillo commented that he had had contact with regional bases of his party, which he had told to get organized.

Castillo also reiterated that he will stand for Peru, as he did at squares and on the streets to defend education, dignify teachers, and give Peruvians opportunities through education.

Pedro Castillo arrived in Chota to request the extension of his license, as a public school teacher, and met with organizations in the area.
