Peru candidate for OAS Secretary-General meets with Saint Vincent and the Grenadines PM

Peruvian candidate for Secretary-General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Ambassador Hugo de Zela, held in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines a productive meeting with the Prime Minister of said country, Ralph Gonsalves.

Thus, the Peruvian ambassador continues his tour of OAS member states to promote his candidacy for head of such hemispheric organization.

So far, De Zela has gathered with authorities from Grenada, Barbados, Saint Lucia, Guyana, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Ecuador, Paraguay, Mexico, among others. 

As is known, the Peruvian candidacy aims at contributing to the strengthening of the continental organization as a space for dialogue, as well as to generating consensus.

Another objective is to find effective solutions to the principal conflicts in the Western Hemisphere.

The OAS Secretary-General election will be held on March 20, 2020.
