The Peruvian Army does not stop working and its members continue to support the response to emergencies reported in various regions across the country due to heavy rains and river overflows damaging houses, paths, schools, health centers, crops, among others.

For instance, in Apurimac, members of the 35th Motorized Infantry Battalion continued to support the people of Chalhuanca, carrying out the connection of potable water access points.

In Canta, located in Lima region, members of the 2nd Civil Affairs Battalion carried out cleaning and clearing works along the banks of Grande River in Arahuay, in order to reduce the risk of overflows and floods in the area during the rainy season.

In Tumbes, personnel of the 23rd Motorized Infantry Battalion provided support for works to drain accumulated stagnant water.

Likewise, on Malecon Benavides Street, members of the 1st Combat Engineer Battalion carried out street cleaning and placed sandbags outside houses to prevent the entry of rainwater.

Using a drone, the Army supervised the affected areas following the return of the flow of water into the ravines between the town of La Cruz and Zorritos district, with the aim on deploying military staff and equipment to perform works there.

After the return of the flow of water into the ravines in La Cruz, which interrupted traffic on Panamericana Norte Highway, a contingent of the 1st Engineer Battalion was deployed to the area, bringing mechanical equipment for road restoration works.

Meanwhile, in Piura, soldiers worked on the cleaning of houses following the landslide that occurred in the district of Sicchez.

Similarly, using infantry carriers, members of the Emergency Disaster Response Company of the 11th Field Artillery Group transported healthcare personnel in the district of Chulucanas, in order to assist people affected by rainfall.

Furthermore, in light of the return of the flow of water into ravines, personnel of the 7th Cavalry Regiment helped clear mud from access roads and affected houses.
