The Ministry of Health (Minsa) has provided theoretical and practical training to members of the Armed Forces who will support health brigades on COVID-19 vaccination days, in accordance with the National Vaccination Plan against COVID-19.

Deputy Benefits and Health Insurance Minister Victor Bocangel led the activity "Use and Support for the Days of Vaccination," whose information will be replicated to more than 200 commandos of the Peruvian Army Special Forces' brigades, in coordination with the Ministry of Defense (Mindef).

"First, thank you for joining us in this fight against COVID-19. We have been on the frontline of response, and we will continue to do so since everyone's support is necessary for the upcoming National Vaccination Plan," the government official expressed.

"That's why we are participating in this training process, where you will be provided information so that all human resources are trained," he added.

Through the Directorate of Integrated Health Networks in Eastern Lima (DIRIS Lima Este), officers, non-commissioned officers, and technicians of the Armed Forces received information related to the cold chain monitoring and compliance with biosafety protocols.

At all times, they pledged to provide logistics, information, and security support to the brigades in charge of administering the COVID-19 vaccine —a powerful tool to protect public health.

Bocangel thanked —in advance— the support that Armed Forces members will provide throughout the country, which will help provide health services for the benefit of citizens.

For her part, Defense Minister Nuria Esparch highlighted the work carried out by Minsa during this health emergency and welcomed this training in support of the National Vaccination Campaign against COVID-19.
