Peru: Air Force supports transfer of over 15 tons of food for Ucayali students

19:16 | Puerto Breu (Ucayali region), Nov. 13.

As part of the multi-sectoral actions led by the Ministry of Defense (Mindef) to serve the most vulnerable population in the country, the Air Force has supported the transfer of more than 15 tons of food for schoolchildren in the town of Puerto Breu, located in Yurua district of Atalaya province, in Ucayali region.

The delivered food was part of the Qali Warma National School Feeding Program, and its transfer is carried out thanks to the Inter-institutional Cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis).

Various flights were conducted by FAP helicopters, through Air Group No. 3, for the air transportation of the supplies.

In addition, the corresponding personnel were assigned to ensure the deployment of air capacities.

Thus, the Ministry of Defense reaffirms its commitment to provide support, through the Armed Forces, to the population that require the deployment of State resources, thus contributing to national security and development.
