A delegation of 20 Peruvian companies from the functional product lines are participating at the BIOFACH 2024 fair, the main platform for organic products in the world, which takes place in the city of Nuremberg, Germany, from February 13 to 16, the
Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (PromPeru) has reported.
The participation of the Peruvian delegation seeks to promote the national offer of organic products in the line of functional products, with emphasis in the line of fresh products, coffee, and cacao.
Likewise, it seeks to position Peru as a leading supplier of organic, healthy, and high nutritional value foods.
PromPeru, through its Trade Office in Hamburg, maintains an important participation with companies in the line of functional products, where it has been collaborating with the promotion of biodiversity products, such as quinoa, maca, chestnut, lucuma, cacao, sacha inchi, ginger, turmeric, aguaymanto, and yacon.
The 2024 BIOFACH edition will have 13 halls enabled, of which Peru will have 2 of them, where there are also other South American countries such as Chile, Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay.
In this opportunity, companies will offer their products to potential buyers in a space of 254 m2 and in addition, there will be the activation of Peruvian coffee to all visitors who are close to the Peruvian pavilion.
During this fair, it is expected to generate business expectations for US$20 million in export of functional products and generate 750 contacts for the companies participating in the event.
