Peruvian Interior Ministry's Special Project for Control and Reduction of Illegal Crops in Alto Huallaga (CORAH) eradicated 2,936 hectares of coca crops in Ucayali, San Martin, and Pasco regions.

Anti-drug operations were conducted on February 1-26 within the framework of the 2018 Annual Plan for Reduction of Illegal Coca Growing Area —under the National Strategy to Fight Drugs 2017-2021.

CORAH agents eradicated 1,310.68 ha in Santa Lucia-Tocache (San Martin), 1,383.13 ha in Ciudad Constitucion (Pasco), and 242.23 ha in Padre Abad-Aguaytia (Ucayali).

Likewise, 1,024 square meters of seedlings were destroyed, thus avoiding the cultivation of illegal coca in Aguaytia (204 m2), Santa Lucia (365 m2), and Ciudad Constitucion (455 m2).

Also, 12 cocaine paste laboratories were demolished by Peruvian National Police (PNP), which supports CORAH efforts.

It must be noted three of them were located in Padre Abad and the other nine in Ciudad de Constitucion.

The operations are supported by National Anti-Drug Agency (Dirandro) and Police Aviation Department.
