Peru's vibrant culture could not be kept away from the most important multi-sport competition in the continent, the
Pan American Games —an event that demands a setting like the host's one.
Over 38 days,
Lima will live and breathe a major sporting event. Culture will be the best letter of introduction that the Andean nation can offer to international delegations, as well as national and foreign tourists who will enjoy the competitions while experiencing diverse cultural manifestations.
The venue will be Parque de la Exposicion in downtown Lima, where live shows will be offered as part of the "Fun Fest" (at the park's amphitheater) alongside other artistic, educational and gastronomic offerings.
Photography, theater, dance, music, design and all the arts that inspire and promote social transformation will be part of the cultural festival presented in this important space of discovery and artistic expression.
To design this program that includes different aesthetic views and innovative initiatives in dialogue with the values of Lima 2019, a call will be made to select various cultural proposals.
