The loving Paddington Bear returned to Peru to visit several Lima, Arequipa and Cusco schools with the aim of promoting reading and English language learning.
Likewise, he will visit educational centers located in low-income areas of the country, where storytelling sessions for children are developed.
The bear was accompanied by British writer Michael Bond’s daughter, Karen Jankel. As is known, Bond is the author of a series of books whose main character is the Paddington Bear.
On the other hand, Jankel announced a new film about the Peru-born character will be shot in 2016.
It should be noted the first movie became a blockbuster in 2014, reaching US$260 million.
Paddington books have been translated into over 40 languages. More than 70 million copies were sold around the world.
