Pacific Alliance technical groups convene in Colombia

The first session of the 23rd round of meetings of technical groups of the Pacific Alliance started on Tuesday featuring government officials of Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru gathered in Bogota.

The groups are convening at the headquarters of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, and Trade, Industry and Tourism of Colombia.

The topics of discussion include External Relations, Movement of People, Communication Strategy, Cooperation, Institutional Affairs, SMEs, Innovation, the Committee of Experts of the Business Council and Gender, Immigration Security subgroups, as well as Regulatory Cooperation.

In addition, the technical groups of Trade Facilitation and Customs Cooperation, Foreign Trade Single Windows and Authorized Economic Operator are meeting in Cartagena. 

Activities include a visit to Cartagena’s port so that they acquaint themselves with the Simultaneous Inspection System, implemented by Colombia as a means to facilitate foreign trade operations.

In this way, the Pacific Alliance continues to fulfill the Presidents’ mandates to deepen integration among the four member countries.
