Olympic medalist Usain Bolt runs in Peru, beats a mototaxi

18:22 | Lima, Apr. 2.

The world's greatest sprinter of all time, Jamaican Usain Bolt, on Tuesday ran against a traditional mototaxi —and defeated it— during an exhibition, which took place in Lima City's residential Miraflores district.

The simulated short race —less than 100 meters— lasted approximately six seconds.

Afterwards, the athlete got into the vehicle and even drove it, thus amazing supporters and journalists present in the area. He was also handed a Peruvian flag, with which he posed for pictures.

Later, he received some gifts —such as a traditional chullo (a knitted wool cap with earflaps)— from the fans and other attendees.

32-year-old Bolt arrived in the Peruvian capital city today to participate in events sponsored by a sports brand.
