Peru’s President-elect Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, who is about to take office, urged Peruvians to remain united to facilitate their becoming a more just and modern country.
“Peru, let’s remain united to tackle this beautiful and challenging achievement of building a more just and modern country,” Kuczynski wrote on Twitter.
The taking office ceremony of Kuczynski will be held at the Congress headquarters. Afterwards, he will give his first address to the nation.
Presidents traditionally showcase the new government’s guidelines, goals and proposals in their first presidential speech.
