FA Ministry: German business delegation visits Peru to identify investments opportunities

Secretary-General at the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Eric Anderson, received the Latin American Initiative of German Business (LAI) delegation that visited Peru to identify new investment opportunities.

Anderson told the businessmen that, within the framework of the Multiparty Trade Agreement involving Peru and the European UnionGermany was our country's third-largest export market in the European bloc and the first in imports last year.

In this regard, the diplomat encouraged the participation of German importing companies in trade fairs held in Peru.

Similarly, Ambassador Anderson underscored Peruvian participation in German fairs, such as BIOFACH and Fruit Logistica 2024.

At this meeting, the secretary-general highlighted the favorable conditions for foreign investment available in Peru.

Likewise, the ambassador invited German businesspeople to participate in the development of the multimodal logistics hub on the central coast, as well as to explore opportunities in the railway and renewable energy sectors.

He also invited German companies to invest in renewable energy, making the most of Peru's hydro, solar, and wind potential.

The event took place recently at Torre Tagle Palace in the Peruvian capital, Lima.
