on Friday called on Peruvians to stand united so as to continue working for the development of the nation.
Via social media, the minister conveyed greetings on the occasion of end-of-year holidays.
"From this Foreign Affairs Ministry, we will not give up on our efforts to achieve concrete and effective actions in favor of Peruvian communities abroad, which (these actions) boost State policies that promote integration in the countries where they are based," Ambassador Maurtua expressed.
Likewise, the diplomat pledged to "redouble efforts to continue contributing to the fight against the pandemic, as well as to a sustainable and resilient economic recovery, which above all benefits the most vulnerable populations in our homeland."
Within this framework, the Cabinet member conveyed greetings to all Peruvians in these Christmas and New Year holidays.
"Christmas offers us moments of reflection and hope. I am confident that peace will radiate at your homes and that unity and solidarity will reign across the country so as to continue working for the development and progress of all Peruvians," Maurtua stressed.
"Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! May the child Jesus of Bethlehem bless Peru," he concluded.
As part of the end-of-year holidays, various authorities and public entities and officials
—such as Vice-President Dina Boluarte— have extended greetings offering their wishes for well-being and unity.
