Ecuador's President lands in Peru to participate in peace agreement anniversary events

The President of Ecuador Guillermo Lasso arrived in the Peruvian capital, Lima, on Wednesday afternoon on an official visit to participate in activities commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Brasilia Peace Accords signing.

The President of Peru Dina Boluarte will welcome her counterpart, with whom she will hold a meeting at the Government Palace at 5:20 p.m. (local time).

Mr. Lasso will arrive at the Executive Branch headquarters at 5:00 p.m., where he will receive honors due to his high investiture.

Following the bilateral meeting, both dignitaries will participate in the signing of reversal notes on the extension of validity of the Peru-Ecuador Border Region Binational Development Plan.

Afterwards, they will attend the signing of the regulation for the agreement that establishes the Binational Commission for Integrated Water Resources Management of Transboundary Hydrographic Basins between both countries.

Lastly, President Lasso will be decorated with the Order of the Sun in the Rank of Grand Collar. It will be awarded by his Peruvian counterpart.
