Duties of Permanent Representative of Peru to UN terminated

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has terminated the duties of Manuel Rodriguez Cuadros as Permanent Representative of Peru to the United Nations (UN) after accepting his resignation from office.

The measure was made official on Monday through Supreme Resolution No. 004-2023-RE published in the Official Gazette El Peruano.

According to said resolution, Rodriguez Cuadros submitted his resignation on December 7, 2022, due to the breakdown of democratic and constitutional order announced at that time.

It is worth mentioning that the date marking the end of his duties will be set by ministerial resolution. 

Moreover, the official's corresponding  credentials and full powers have been cancelled.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs thanked him for the important services rendered to the Nation in the course of his duties.

The supreme resolution bears the signatures of Foreign Affairs Minister Ana Cecilia Gervasi and the President of the Republic Dina Boluarte.
