DSV, a global supplier of transport and logistics services with offices in more than 70 countries, says textile market is a core industry for Peru.
“The textile market is a core industry for Peru,” said DSV Peru managing director Rosa Bustamante.

This led the company open a new office in Callao, Peru, strengthening its presence in the country.

Bustamante claimed that being present at the airport will allow them to improve service and reactivity on air export, which is a key success factor to develop this market.

The new office is located in the cargo zone near Lima’s port and airport to improve the export service.

“DSV's presence in Callao was until now limited through outsourced warehouse facilities, but we have now transferred a team of 4 operations staff to the new office,” he added.

This Danish transport company offering road, air, sea and logistical transport services throughout the world serves major names in the Andean country’s textiles business.

It also offers consolidation, repacking, warehousing and transportation services to manufacturers and exporters specialized in alpaca, vicuña, wool and cotton garments in both Lima and Arequipa.

With the opening of this office, DSV is now present in 5 cities in Peru (Lima, Callao, Arequipa and the ports of Paita and Matarani) and 25 locations across Latin America.

DSV has an international network of partners and agents, which makes it a global player that offers services worldwide.

The solutions provided by the company enabled DSV to record worldwide revenue of 6.1 billion euro for 2013.
