Andean Community (CAN) Secretary-General Jorge Hernando Pedraza received —at the organization's headquarters in Lima—
Peru's Culture Minister Alejandro Neyra, with whom he discussed various topics of interest to both the subregional forum and the country.
As part of the working visit —held on Tuesday— the officials exchanged points of view on creative economy, the development of joint initiatives —such as the launch of the Andean Culture Hall and permanent exhibitions at the General Secretariat— as well as
activities marking the Bicentennial of Peru's Independence in 2021.
According to a press release from the CAN, Minister Neyra highlighted the progress and achievements made by the Andean Community after 51 years of work and guaranteed his support for the management of the organization.
At the end of the visit, Pedraza and Neyra toured the headquarters' facilities and checked out the progress of the refurbishment and modernization works carried out at the building.
During the meeting, the authorities discussed a number of current issues and others related to the Andean integration process.
