BCR: Peru's textile exports up 25.4% in Feb 2025

Peru's textile product exports amounted to US$142 million in February 2025, a year-on-year growth of 25.4%, the Central Reserve Bank (BCR) has reported.
Published: 4/25/2025
The exported volume showed a year-on-year growth of 21.5% in February, marking 11 consecutive months of expansion, primarily driven by higher shipments of cotton garments to the United States and alpaca or llama wool.
Meanwhile, the export price increased by 3.2% year-on-year in the second month of 2025.
In cumulative terms, textile product exports totaled US$280 million between January and February, a 17.4% increase compared to the same period last year.
This progress was primarily driven by higher export volumes, which increased by 15.8%, and to a lesser extent by the 1.4% rise in prices.
