Peru: Government appoints ambassador to Türkiye

The government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has appointed Luz Betty Caballero Morales as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to the Republic of Türkiye.

This measure was officialized through Supreme Resolution No. 001-2026-RE, published in the Legal Regulations bulletin of the Official Gazette El Peruano on Thursday.

Accordingly, the corresponding letters of credence and full powers are hereby issued to enable the diplomat to carry out her duties.

The document also specifies that the date on which the aforementioned diplomatic official is to assume her duties will be set by ministerial resolution.

In the recitals, it states that this measure is in accordance with the law governing the Executive Branch participation in the appointment and designation of public officials; the Law on the Diplomatic Service of the Republic and its regulations. 

The decision has received the approving vote of the Council of Ministers as well.

Consul

Separately, through another ministerial resolution, Minister Counselor in the Diplomatic Service of the Republic, Farit Docarmo Delgado, was appointed as Consul General of Peru in Mexico City, the United Mexican States.

Likewise, the document provides that the consular jurisdiction shall be that established in Supreme Decree No. 081-2016-RE, dated October 12, 2016.

Additionally, it grants him the corresponding letters patent.

Both resolutions bear the signatures of the President of the Republic, Jose Jeri, and Foreign Affairs Minister Hugo de Zela.
